The first update to Pharmaceutical Substances took place on the 15th of November and added a further 47 active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) to the electronic version.

Information on these compounds is not available in either the print or CD-ROM formats.

Also, the structure search tool has been revamped. It now allows the user to enter their queries either using ISIS/Draw, ChemDraw 7.0 or the built-in Java Applet.
